fter the debut in the home collection, Edward Barber & Jay Osgerby propose Tobi-Ishi Outdoor, the outdoor version of the iconic round dining table and coffee table with explicit Zen inspirations. The two designers are great admirers of Japanese art and culture and the name and inspiration are a reference to the polished stones (tobi-ishi) used for ornamental purposes in traditional Zen gardens. The overhang of the top and the vertical trapezoidal bases placed orthogonally to each other generate a sculptural and essential figure, which constantly varies its image according to the point of observation. The finish of the table and the coffee table is unique, made of concrete in two different colors, gray and anthracite.
